This is one of several green spaces that Ellwood City, PA, set aside around the residential section called Ewing Park. It begins a second lunchtime walk-about in Ellwood City neighborhoods. (See ellwood city homes 2 Set on right) These are mostly 1920s homes - a period of propsperity for this once booming industrial center. Industry has made a recovery here - often small businesses and family owned companies, capitalizing on the technical skills and famous Western PA work ethic. I-279 , the PA turnpike and Rt 60 have also made this a reasonable bedroom community for Pittsburgh & its surroundings for the one-hour plus commuter.
