English: The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this natural-color, high definition image of Tropical Storm Emang in the middle of the vast South Indian Ocean on January 13, 2013. During that time, the system was battered by wind shear from the east, causing the north eastern part of the storm to become fully exposed, while the circulation ceneter just merely becomes exposed.
The NASA website hosts a large number of images from the
Soviet/
Russian space agency, and other non-American space agencies. These are not necessarily in the public domain.
