Summary

Description
English: Corrour Bothy Corrour Bothy sits below the wet slabs on the Devil's Point. The wooden extension is a recent addition. It contains a composting toilet. The bothy was originally built in the 19th century as a deer watchers hut. There were a number of these huts on the estate. Gamekeepers stayed in them at certain times of the year so that they could tell where the deer were likely to be for stalking purposes. They also had to prevent walkers and travellers from disturbing the deer and prevent them from straying between the deer and the rifle. (The Dee from the Far Cairngorms - Ian Murray - 1999)
