DescriptionCentral Park North Meadow td (2019-04-18) 035 - Baseball Field 1.jpg
English: Looking into Baseball Field 1 of Central Park North Meadow, north of the 97th Street Transverse near the Upper West Side, Manhattan. My most recent memory of this field is playing a game against the now-defunct Manhattan Graphics High School. A college professor of mine once pondered aloud what it would be like to play baseball in Central Park, thinking it would be great. Well, on a positive note, a cool thing about this field is the rocks located along both baselines, which can also serve as natural grandstands. Of course, they also serve as obstacles to a fielder with metal cleats.
