For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Gahlbeck 14.2.1964 Neue Haushaltskühlschränke unter Verwendung von Plaste; 110 000 Haushaltskühlschränke vom Typ Kristall 140 werden in diesem Jahr im VEB Deutsche Kraft- und Kühlanlagen Scharfenstein das Fließband verlassen. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit wurde dieser Typ von einer sozialistischen Arbeitsgemeinschaft unter weitgehender Verwendung von Plaste entwickelt und in die Serienproduktion überführt. Unser Bild zeigt das moderne Fließband, auf dem die Kühlschränke montiert werden. Durch den Einsatz von Plasten wurde ein bedeutend größerer Innenraum bei gleichbleibender Außenabmessung erzielt. |
