Built 1943 for the US Army Air Force and entered service in September that year with the serial 43-11719. She reportedly only flew 24.1 hours while in military service. Sold off in 1946, she was used for air racing before joining the Confederate/Commemorative Air Force in 1981. She was restored following a wheels-up landing in 2013 and is seen on the morning of the Commemorative Air Force’s ‘Wings Over Dallas’ WWII Airshow.
