English: Beef Stroganoff recipe from the book A Gift to Young Housewives by Elena Molokhovets (1887 edition). The 1st edition of this book was published in 1861. The Beef Stroganoff recipe appeared first in the 1871 edition (according to Anne Volokh, The Art of Russian Cuisine, 1983)
