Español: Pintura de la batalla de Miahuatlán, librada el 3 de octubre de 1866 durante la segunda intervención francesa en México entre fuerzas francesas del Segundo imperio mexicano y las fuerzas mexicanas republicanas del general Porfirio Díaz, quien salió victorioso. Él es representado en la parte central del cuadro, cabalgando un caballo blanco adelantando a los lanceros de Puebla, una de las dos fuerzas aguerridas responsables de la victoria, según versiones oficiales de la historia. Esta obra fue realizada por el pintor mexicano Francisco de Paula Mendoza en 1906, y actualmente se encuentra en el Museo Nacional de Historia en el Castillo de Chapultepec, Ciudad de México.
English: Painting of the Battle of Miahuatlán, fought on October 3, 1866 during the Second Franco-Mexican War between French forces of the Second Mexican Empire and Mexican republican forces under General Porfirio Díaz, who emerged victorious. He is depicted in the central portion of the canvas, riding a white horse in front of the lancers of Puebla, one of the two veteran forces responsible for the victory, according to official versions of the story. This piece was created by Mexican painter Francisco de Paula Mendoza in 1906, and it is currently housed in the National Museum of History in Chapultepec Castle, Mexico City.
