DescriptionBankside power station and St George the Martyr church - geograph.org.uk - 1607688.jpg
English: Roofscape of Southwark, London SE1, seen from the roof of 165 Great Dover St.
The white tower and spire between the viwere and the chimney are those of St George the Martyr parish church in Borough High St.
The chimney is that of Bankside power station, which is now the Tate Modern art gallery. The visible plume is largely steam from the flue gas washing plant. This was a very unusual feature, but a condition for its continued operation in the city centre.
