Description
English: Bandelier Wilderness

Most of Bandelier’s dramatic landscape consists of a large volcanic plateau cut into long mesas by many deep, sheer-walled canyons. Here, forested mesa tops are framed by the San Miguel Mountains along the park’s west boundary. More than two thirds of Bandelier’s 50 square miles is a designated wilderness.
