English: The Backhouse family monument in All Saints' parish church, Swallowfield. Erected by Flower Backhouse) in 1670, following, her husband, Sir William Backhouse's death. The monument commemorates Flower Backhouse's paternal granparents ( Samuel Backhouse and Elizabeth, née Borlase), aunt (Anna Backhouse, married Thomas Chester), uncle (Sir John Backhouse KB, married Flower Henshaw), brothers (John Backhouse), children (William and Anne Bishop), parents ( William Backhouse and Anne, née Richards), and husbands (William Bishop and Sir William Backhouse, Bt.). (see Russell 1901, pp. 136-7)
