This is a copyrighted audio sample. However, it is believed that its usage on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use is justified because:

The sample only presents a portion (25 seconds) of the track.
The usage of the sample on Wikipedia does not affect the copyright owner’s ability to sell the track.
The sample was produced by a notable band or musician; Augie March.
The sample is only used for informative and educational purposes. Specifically, an sample of the chorus of Augie March's biggest hit, and the song that broke them into the mainstream. Glenn Richards described his lyrics as "damn good"(Kathy McCabe (10 March 2007). "Into The Mainstream". The Daily Telegraph.).
No profit is made by Wikipedia, the Wikimedia Foundation, or any of its associates as a result of the use of the sample.
