Summary

Description The Praca Anchieta is the cobblestone plaza in the Pelourhino that connects the Igreja de Sao Francisco with the main court, Terreiro de Jesus. Its baroque church and stone cross were built in the early 18th century, using the economic resources of the newly-wealthy sugar barons and the sweat of their slaves.
