Summary

Description
English: This image is of a 3-inch rapid fire seacoast gun, M1902. This is not a 3-inch M1902 field gun. The gun is mounted on a pedestal base. The hand wheels for aiming it in direction (traversing) and range (elevating) are visible. The breech is open. The firing battery was used to supply current to the small lamps that lit the aiming scales and the sight at night.
