Description
English: Early 5th century BC Athenian ostrakon (sherd of pottery inscribed with the name of a politician proposed for exile, the so-called " ostracism") against Aristides, son of Lysimachos. Found in River Eridanos, currently exhibited in Room 12 ("private life") of the Kerameikos Archaeological Museum (Athens). Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, November 12 2009.
