English: Singapore (May 09, 2005) - Girl Scouts and Brownies from two troops in Singapore pass Girl Scout cookie boxes up the brow of the rescue and salvage ship USS Safeguard (ARS 50) as part of Operation Thin Mint. The Scouts delivered the cookies to bring a taste of home the Sailors while deployed. Enough cookies were delivered for each member of the crew to have his or her own box. Commander Logistics Group Western Pacific (CLWP), located in Singapore, is coordinating the distribution of more than 40,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to deployed Sailors and Marines throughout the 7th Fleet area of operation. CLWP has supported cookie distribution for each of the four years of Operation Thin Mint, which was developed by the Girl Scouts' San Diego-Imperial Council in 2002.
