DescriptionMabel Voss and her Morris Cowley, 1929 (cropped).jpg
The problems of travelling around the large and rural district which Nurse Vos had to cover were resolved in 1928 when the local population (mostly Maori) subscribed to buy her a Morris Cowley car. This snapshot of Nurse Vos by her car was taken in 1929 whilst accompanied by a writer from the journal of the nurses of New Zealand Kai Tiaki who was reporting on ‘Maori Health Nurses in the North Auckland District’.
