DescriptionLarge university-of-texas seal rgb(199-91-18).png
The seal of the University of Texas at Austin, colored the official rgb(199, 91, 18) signature burnt orange of the university. It was designed by Dr. William Battle in 1903 and officially adopted by the Board of Regents on October 31, 1905 (per
UT Seal, Ex-Students Association of the University of Texas).
The seal was adopted in 1905 and has thus entered the public domain (in addition to the Texas Exes source, the seal can be seen on the cover of the
1910 yearbook). This digital version of the seal was made some time more recently, but the differences between the original seal and the modern version are trivial and do not pass the threshold of originality necessary for copyright protection.
