English: ‘Kadın fez süsü’ = Ornament for a woman’s hat. Silver or ‘alpaka’ (nickel silver), a silvery-coloured alloy of 60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc. Traditional jewelry, late 19th or early 20th century.
The ornament has a rectangular central plate, adorned with a half circular upper part, some granulation work and a set gem or glass pasta pearl. It has three rows of chain with small metallic washer-like plates. At their ends the chains are attached to a triangular plate (right and left), decorated with a same kind of set gem/glass pasta pearl. All three little plates have small holes in their top part, so that they can be attached (sewed with a yarn) to the felt hat.
