English: "John Chetwynd of Ingestre in the County of Stafford Esq," mezzotint, by the English publisher and printmaker John Smith, after Sir John Baptist de Medina. British Museum, London. John Chetwynd (1643-1702), of Rudge, near Sandon, Staffordshire was a Member of Parliament for Stafford from 1689 to 1695, and again in 1701 and 1702. In the intervening period he sat for Tamworth in 1698–1700. Sheriff of Staffordshire for 1695–96. He married Lucy Roane, daughter of Robert Roane of Tullesworth, Chaldon, Surrey. Arms of Roane: Argent, three stags trippant proper.
