Deutsch: Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 04.05.1972 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden. „Gespalten; vorne in Schwarz ein mit einem Kreuz besteckter, zweifenstriger silberner (weißer) Turm, hinten in Silber (weiß) ein schwarzer Adler.“ Das Wappen, in den kurkölnischen Farben gezeichnet, bezieht sich auf das untergegange Dorf Swist, dessen letzter Rest das Swister Türmchen ist, wo im Mittelalter eine romanische Kirche stand. Der Adler stammt aus dem Wappen des Ortsteils Lommersum (Schöffensiegel von 1675).
English: „The arms were granted on May 4, 1972. The arms show in the right half the tower, which is the only building remaining of the village Swist. The eagle in the left part is taken from the arms of Lommersum.“
