Object history
Deutsch: Im Jahre 1935 schlug die Archivdirektion Stuttgart der bis dahin wappenlosen Gemeinde das Wappen vor. Das Motiv ist der Helmzier der Herren von Hornberg, der ältesten bekannten Ortsherren, entnommen und soll zugleich an das ehemalige herzoglich württembergische Jagdschloss erinnern, das insbesondere bei der Auerhahnjagd benutzt und später in ein Forsthaus umgewandelt wurde. Am 4. Juli 1967 wurden das Wappen und die Flagge vom Innenministerium verliehen. Die Tingierung entspricht den württembergischen Farben Schwarz und Gold. Nach der Vereinigung von Neuweiler mit fünf Nachbarorten am 1. Januar 1975 wurde das Wappen der namengebenden Gemeinde beibehalten und mit der Flagge am 22. November 1976 vom Landratsamt Calw neu verliehen. Es ist ein ansprechendes heraldisches Zeichen für die im wildreichen Schwarzwald zwischen Kleiner Enz und oberem Teinachtal gelegene Gesamtgemeinde.
