Object history
Deutsch: Die im oberen Tal der Großen Enz gelegene Gemeinde ist 1935 durch Eingliederung Enztals nach Enzklösterle entstanden; beide Orten waren erst 1826 beziehungsweise 1838 von Wildbad und Simmersfeld abgetrennt und zu selbständigen Kommunen gemacht worden. Der Name Enzklösterle ist von dem erstmals 1323 urkundlich erwähnten „Klösterlein ze der Entz" abgeleitet, das nach der Reformation durch Württemberg als Erblehen ausgegeben und 1599 in eine Holzfaktorei umgewandelt wurde. Die Einwohner Enztals, die sich als Kolonisten überwiegend erst im 18. Jahrhundert angesiedelt hatten, und von Enzklösterle lebten bis ins 19. Jahrhundert vorwiegend von Waldarbeit und Holzflößerei. Darauf nimmt das Wappen mit dem Floß Bezug. Der Wellenschrägbalken symbolisiert die Enz. Wappen und Flagge wurden am 25. Mai 1950 vom Innenministerium Württemberg-Hohenzollern verliehen.
