Summary

An ancient carved head and shoulders similar to the pagan Lustymore Island figure on Boa Island, County Fermanagh was excavated from the grounds of the Great Malvern Priory. Local historian Rose Garrard has speculated that this find suggests that the site of the Priory may have earlier sacred origins. It is now housed in St Ann's Chapel.
