English: Divisional insignia of the British 6th and 70th Infantry Division.
While the Imperial War Museum's example is of a shoulder badge with the red star on a khaki background, historians such as Thaddeus Holt have commented that the red star was on a white background (Holt, p. 923). In addition, Mike Chappell comments that the insignia was most likely never worn on uniforms, although it was painted on divisional vehicles (Chappell, p. 19).
