Eurycratides ( Greek: Εὐρυκρατίδης, "wide ruler") was the thirteenth king of Sparta from the Agiad dynasty. [1] He succeeded his father Anaxander [2] around 615 BC and reigned during a devastating period of war with Tegea. [3] [4]
In 590 BC, Eurycratides was succeeded by his son Leon ("lion"). [5] His grandson was King Anaxandridas II.
