Droners is a French animated series that premiered on October 19, 2020. The series is produced by Cyber Group Studios, La Chouette Compagnie and Supamonks Studio, with the participation of TF1, WDR ARD and The Walt Disney Company France, in association with Sofitvcine 6, Sofitvcine 7 and Pictanovo. ^[1]

Plot

Droners takes place in the world or ocean planet called TerrAqua – which is 95% covered by water with islands (from atolls to archipelagos) as the 5% land. Team Tiki – Corto, Mouse, Enki, and Oro – need to win the Whale Cup, the most intense drone racing competition of all time. They'll compete against other teenage teams from all over TerrAqua, with most flying their G.E.N.I.E.-powered drones through dangerous territory and avoiding even more dangerous creatures. But failure isn't an option for Team Tiki: the fate of their home island, Nuï, relies on their victory!

Main

• Corto Heilani is the 13-year-old female main character and Tikis' pilot. She's hardheaded and confident and a talented pilot who would do anything to save their team's home island Nuï. She had a crush on Sun in season 1 then has a crush on Manta in season 2. She has tanned skin and short spiky black hair and wears a white tanktop, a dark blue glove on her right arm, turquoise and orange bands on her left ankle and sandals
• Mouse Ruto is the 10-year-old mechanic for the Tikis. She's also a Shorescrubber and a part of the Ruto Clan. She has tanned skin, and shoulder-length brown hair and is set in thick locs. She wears a sleeveless, strapless yellowish-white dress, a turquoise cap with a white sun emblem on it and a yellow and white seashell necklace.
• Enki is the 13-year-old enginerd for the Tikis. He was at least partially raised in the jungle. He has a crush on Flora.
• Oro is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Tikis. He powers the drone Maroro. He is one of the only G.E.N.I.Es. who is immune to water, unlike the others' less effective water resistance which could be dissolved by it.

Team Pirate

• Shark is the pilot (and occasional enginerd) for the Pirates. He has tanned skin, blond hair shaped like a shark's dorsal fin and tattoos on his arms and left leg. In season 2, he gets a pair of green sunglasses.
• Max is the enginerd (and occasional pilot) for the Pirates. She has tanned skin, beauty mark on her left cheek, a tattoo on her right leg, brown short hair in thick locs with a red headband tied, a black strapless tanktop, green striped shorts with a brown belt and a satchel, brown gloves and a necklace of a single screw on a string.
• Ed is the mechanic for the Pirates. He has tanned skin, a runny nose, black hair and tattoos on his arms and right leg. He wears a red bandana and a pair of beige shorts with a rope belt.
• Patch is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Pirates. He powers the drone Claw.

Team Starfish

• Deejay is the pilot for the Starfish. He has dark skin, golden pierced earrings and short thick red locs tied into a ponytail. He wears a white tanktop, yellow fingerless gloves and pants with a black belt and black shoes.
• Debbie is the mechanic/enginerd for the Starfish. She has dark skin and twintails with one colored cerise and the other turquoise. She wears headphones with black ear cups and a white headband, pink goggles and pants, a black sleeveless dress with a pinkish-red star on the front and turquoise shoes. In season 2, her hair is colored orange in right and white in left and she wears pale blue goggles, a white sleeveless dress, orange pants, black shoes and a dark grey headband of her headphones.
• Shiny is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Starfish. She powers the drone Aquablaster.

Team Mirage

• Hannah is the pilot for the Mirages. Their drone, called Fatamorgana, is provided by Teach Tech. She is Adam's younger sister. She has brownish-tanned skin, dark grey eyeliner and cyan eye shadow, an eye of horus tattoo on the left side of her head, black bangs with gold streaks covering her left eye, gold earcuffs, black gloves with cyan wristbands, a white sleeveless dress, white pants and black shoes.
• Adam is the mechanic/enginerd for the Mirages and is Hannah's older brother. They're working directly for Gavinda Teach, who has asked them to help her uncover to secrets of G.E.N.I.E.s so she can destroy WhaleCorp. He has brownish-tanned skin, teal eyes, gold earcuffs, a white sleeveless dress over a black long-sleeved shirt with cyan linings on his sleeves, white pants and black shoes.

The Tao Twins

• Sun is the pilot for the Tao Twins. He's blind and has a crush on Corto.
• Monk is the mechanic/enginerd for the Tao Twins.
• Lotus is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Tao Twins. They power the drone Wushu.

Team Bee

• Flora is the pilot for the Bees. She has a crush on Enki.
• Fuzz is the engineer for the Bees.

• Jelly is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Bees. They power the drone Bumblebee.

Team Siren

• Mina is the pilot for the Sirens. She has white skin, green eyes, orange ringlets with a black headband on top of her head and sideswept bangs on her left.

• Nemo is the G.E.N.I.E. for the Sirens. They power the drone Nautilus.

The Cold Kings

• Manta is the pilot for the Cold Kings as Polaris Academy's representative. Their drone, named Sub-Zero, is provided by Teach Tech. Has a crush on Corto in season 2. He has a color between tan and grayish skin, dark grey face tattoos shaped like boomerangs under his eyes, pale blue eyes and white hair.
• Shino is the engineer/mechanic for the Cold Kings. He also represents Polaris Academy in the drone racing competition.
• Pavel is Manta's previous superior at Polaris Academy. He would temporarily replace Manta as the Cold Kings' pilot but would be sent back after losing to the Tikis.

Teach Tech

• Gavinda Teach is the owner and founder of Teach Tech, a tech manufacturing company that creates drones which are powered by nucleum, an element that is toxic to the environment. She has very white skin, dark red lips and short pale turquoise hair.
