Mohammad Iqbal Khan ( Urdu:محمد اقبال خان; born 7 March, 1973) better known as Anjum Lucknowi ( Hindi:अंजुम लखनवी; Urdu:انجم لکھنوی), [1] is an Indian Urdu and Hindi poet. He is known for his revolutionary poetry. [2] [3]

Early life and education

Anjum was born on 07 March 1973, in Barabanki to Mohammad Haleem Khan (farmer), and his wife Sugra Khatoon. He was their first child. Anjum lucknowi did his schooling completed from " Madarsa Alia Furqania" in Tehsil Fatehpur. [2]


Performances

He recited his first Performance (Urdu: مشاعرہ; Romanized: Mušā'ira) in 1989 with his teacher Aish Kanwal in Quraish Nagar, Kurla.  The observation was presided over by Bollywood music director Ravindra Jain, and Nawab Malik (Corporator) from Quresh Nagar was the special guest of this mushaira. Since then he participated in many Mushairas and Kavi sammelan continued achieving success. [4] [5]
