Ricardo Fleury Cavalcanti de Albuquerque Lacerda (born February 14, 1968) is a Brazilian businessman and investment banker. He is the co-founder and CEO of BR Partners Group, and is well-known in the Brazilian M&A sector. Lacerda has been recognized as one of The 500 Most Influential People in Latin America by Bloomberg Línea 2023(1), and as one of the 50 most influential, respected, and innovative investment bankers by Global M&A.

EDUCATION Lacerda holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Administration (1986-1990) and a Master's Degree in Finance (1990-1992) from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), as well as an MBA focused on Finance from Columbia University (1994-1996).

CAREER Lacerda began his career at Chase Manhattan in New York. From 1996 to 2001, he served as vice president of the investment bank Goldman Sachs and as CEO of its Brazilian branch until 2005. In 2005, he became the managing director of the investment bank at Citibank Brazil, a position he held until 2009. During this time, from 2007 to 2009, he also served as the Latin America Citibank managing director. Lacerda's leadership at Citibank led the institution to the top of the M&A rankings in Brazil. In 2009, along with other partners, he co-founded BR Partners Group, an independent Brazilian investment bank where he currently serves as CEO. In June 2021, Lacerda oversaw the IPO of BR Partners, making it the second 'pure play' investment bank to be listed on the Brazilian Stock Exchange. Since its establishment, under Ricardo's leadership, the bank has facilitated over US$92 billion in M&A transactions.
