read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a
neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of
independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's
verifiability policy and the
notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.

Marvel Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, PLLC, commonly referred to as Marvel, is a multidisciplinary American architecture firm specializing in architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design, with offices in New York City, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Richmond, Virginia. [1] Marvel has received recognition for its work, including the American Institute of Architects New York's Medal of Honor in 2024. [2]
Jonathan Marvel and Rob Rogers established the firm Rogers Marvel Architects in 1992. [3] In 2013, twenty years after its founding, Marvel and Rogers came to a "mutual agreement to formally dissolve their current practice," and decided to form two independent practices, known as Marvel Architects and Rogers Partners. [4]
In 2015, Marvel Architects formed a partnership with Marvel & Marchand, the firm co-founded by Jonathan Marvel's father located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. [5] The firm then transitioned into an interdisciplinary collective in 2019, [6] integrating landscape architecture into the design process and appointing landscape architects Yadiel Rivera-Diaz and Tyler Silvestro as partners. To reflect this change, Marvel Architects expanded its name to Marvel Architects, Landscape Architects, Urban Designers, PLLC, while practicing under its shortened name, Marvel. [1]
In 2022, Marvel established an office in downtown Richmond, led by partner Tyler Silvestro. [7] In 2023, the firm announced the appointment of seven new partners, bringing the total number of partners to 12, which includes the founding partners Lissa So, Guido Hartray, and founding principal Jonathan Marvel. [8] Partners Edna Echandi-Guzmán, Raquel Marrero-Maldonado, and José Juan Terrasa-Soler lead Marvel’s San Juan office, formerly Marvel & Marchand. [6]
