Amol Karambe is an Indian filmmaker and best-selling author known for his Marathi film Aranya [1] and critically acclaimed, award winning short film Kali Pili. [2]
He won Best Director award for Kali Pili at Pune International Short Film Festival [2] and Outstanding Film for the same at Tagore International Film Festival. His documentary film An Enchanting Forest Land was awarded as Best Documentary Film at CMS Vatavaran Award. Also, his documentary film Tanda was awarded by Maharashtra State Awards for UMED Competition. In 2021, Amol published his debut Marathi novel titled Niralljam Sada Sukhi [3]' and won Maharashtra Ratn Puraskar for the same.
Amol grew up in Wadsa ( Gadchiroli), which is one among the tribal districts of Maharashtra.
