qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published,
reliable,
secondary sources that are
independent of the subject (see the
guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see
technical help and learn about
mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to
read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a
neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of
independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's
verifiability policy and the
notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by

Khan Sahib Assembly constituency in 1996. Despite the risks posed by militant organizations during the height of the
Insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir
[1], Abdul Gani Naseem emerged victorious, becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA)
[2]
Abdul Gani Naseem's political journey also included short affiliations with other parties like the Indian National Congress [3] and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) [4]. However, he left these parties due to perceived lack of focus on the issues affecting the common people. In addition to his political journey, Abdul Gani Naseem was a writer and author of 12 books in Urdu and 3 of them were published in a District Literature Function [5] .
Tragically, Abdul Gani Naseem contracted COVID-19 in September 2020 [6]. Despite receiving medical attention, his condition deteriorated, and he passed away on October 3, 2020. His untimely demise left a deep void in the hearts of the people who knew him [7]. A teacher, influential political leader, and as a writer, Naseem's journey has left an indelible mark on the lives of countless individuals in Jammu and Kashmir. [9]
On October 3, 2020, Abdul Gani Naseem's life was tragically cut short by COVID-19, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew him and a profound loss for Jammu and Kashmir. [10]
Abdul Gani Naseem was born in 1948, in the village of Falchal, located in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
Abdul Gani Naseem had a very influential political career that spanned multiple parties and elections in Jammu and Kashmir. After joining the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Naseem became the candidate for the Khansahab Constituency in District Budgam of Kashmir. [11]
In 1996, despite the high level of militancy in Kashmir, Abdul Gani Naseem contested the Assembly Elections and emerged victorious, securing a seat as a Member of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (MLA). [12]
However, in the subsequent Assembly Elections of Jammu and Kashmir in 2002, Abdul Gani Naseem faced defeat and encountered internal conflicts within the National Conference Party, he decided to resign from the party, citing issues of nepotism and favoritism as the primary reasons for his departure. [13]
Following his resignation, he later joined the Indian National Congress but eventually left the party due to what he perceived as a lack of genuine commitment to the development of the common people in Jammu and Kashmir. [14]
After a break from active politics, Abdul Gani Naseem returned to the political arena upon a request from the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) of Jammu and Kashmir [15]. Despite not seeking any portfolios, he emphasized his unwavering commitment to assisting the poor and the needy, aligning himself with the party's mission. [16]
