Charles Walter Simpson RI (8 May 1885 – 3 October 1971) was an English painter. He was born in Camberley, Surrey, England. [2] Simpson lived in Lamorna, Cornwall, in the early 1910s, and returned there in the 1930s, earning a reputation as an animal and bird painter. [3] He exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1948, [2] and his work was part of the art competitions at four Olympic Games. [4] An exhibition of his work was held at Penlee House Gallery and Museum in 2005. [2] From 1913 until her death in 1964, he was married to the artist Ruth Simpson.
