Is this intended to be the category for inline-or-quad skating - i.e. all skating on surfaces other than ice, using "some kind of rotating things" as opposed to sharpened blades? It currently contains a lot of inline skating pages, so I guess that's a "yes" from at least some people. Or should we not bother with such a category, and instead put pages like Street skating and Road skating directly into the "Skating" category
(I personally also favour a "yes" answer, and use of the term "quad skating" to disambiguate "traditional" roller skates. See for example the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports which clearly considers inline to be within its remit)
A lot of the skating pages seem to be a bit all over the map at the moment and I'm trying to get a picture for what goes where (confining myself to the non-ice varieties as I don't know anything about skating on the slippy stuff). Getting them all into the same category would be a good start Daniel Barlow 23:53, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
I just wanted to say thank you to the writers and editors of the Roller skating pages/category they have changed a lot since last time I was here and look great! I am considering doing an article on Goodwood Roller Marathon as I feel that events aren't represented that well on Wikipedia (funny how many people think we all meet on street corners). I feel I can talk about Goodwood Roller Marathon as I am an organiser but couldn't do the same article for other events. Before I start, as there aren't already events pages can I please confirm that no one objects!? I think this is the best way of asking? :-) -- Dogsbody 18:29, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
