Articles concerning municipalities located in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania (cities, Pennsylvania boroughs, Pennsylvania townships, and districts) that no longer exist as organized separate self-governing municipalities — having either been annexed by or merged with another municipality, or possibly disincorporated into a neighborhood—an unincorporated community. Under Pennsylvania's Constitution, reorganization of municipalities is both easy and fairly common—requiring passing a home rule referendum and a mostly pro-forma approval (rubber stamping) by the state Legislature.
