Originating in the southern United States, country blues quickly spread throughout the country resulting in many regional styles, Memphis, Detroit, Chicago, Texas, Piedmont, Louisiana, Western, Atlanta, St. Louis, East Coast, Swamp, New Orleans, Delta and Kansas City blues.
