Carex scirpoidea is a species of sedge belonging to the family Cyperaceae.^[1] It is dioecious, with male and female flowers on separate plants.^[2]

Its native range is Norway ( Solvågtind), Russia ( Siberia and far eastern Russia), Greenland,^[3]^[4] Canada and the US.^[1]
