Canby is an unincorporated rural hamlet in Adair County, in the U.S. state of Iowa. [1] A farmers' cooperative is located there, also a church, and a couple of homes, surrounded by extensive fields on all sides.
A post office called Canby was established in 1873, and remained in operation until 1908. [2] A Quaker church of friends still stands near the town site. [3] Canby's population was 13 in 1902, [4] and 25 in 1925. [5]
