CCTV-5 (
Chinese : 中国中央电视台体育频道 ), also known as the Sports Channel , part of the
China Central Television family of networks, is the main sports broadcaster in the
People's Republic of China . CCTV-5 began broadcasting on
1 January 1995. CCTV-5 now broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
