On 13 April 2016, Turner Broadcasting System Europe announced the launch of Boomerang in Turkey on 23 April 2016, which is Turkey's National Children's Day. [2] The HD channel was launched exclusively on the Tivibu and D-Smart operators in Turkey. [3]

Transition as Cartoonito

Originally on 3 December 2018, Cartoonito launched as an afternoon block on Cartoon Network Turkey, airing every day from 12:00 to 3:30 PM local time. However, as part of its global re-introduction, a Cartoonito block also arrived on Boomerang on 5 September 2022.

Boomerang fully transformed into a 24/7 Cartoonito channel on 4 September 2023, along with its Nordic/Scandinavian and MENA counterpart. [4]
