Birendra Lake (Birendra Tal), is a freshwater lake located in Manaslu Glacier in Gorkha District in northern-central Nepal. [1] The lake is named behind the Late King Birendra Shah. . It is nearby Punhyen Glacier and Gompa in Samagaun. [2] The lake spread over the area of three square at the height of 4500m. Trekkers going from Sama Gaun to Manaslu Base Camp can visit this lake in Gandaki Province. [3]
Birendra Lake gained attention as the popularity of the Manaslu Circuit Trek steadily increased. [4]
