Bilohorivka ( Ukrainian: Білогорівка; Russian: Белогоровка) is a village in Bakhmut Raion, Donetsk Oblast, eastern Ukraine. It is located approximately 82 kilometres (51 mi) north-north-east from the centre of Donetsk and 46 kilometres (29 mi) east from Kramatorsk.
The village came under attack by Russian forces during the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. [2] [3] Since November 2022, it has been occupied.
As of 27 June 2022, according to the Ukrainian-based DeepStateMap.Live, the eastern end of Bilohorivka (east of the main highway) was occupied by Russian forces. [4][ better source needed]
On 30 November 2022, the Russian Armed Forces re-captured the village. [5]
The invaders are also attempting to cut the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway (by storming Yakovlivka and Bilohorivka in the Donetsk Oblast) and to capture the Horlivka-Popasna route (battles are being fought over the Troits'ke and Luhanske regions on the border, with 10 km of road between them remaining in Ukrainian hands).
The defenders are trying to prevent the seizure of the Lysychansk–Bakhmut road section in the Donetsk Oblast, halting the assaults in the Biolohorivka–Nahirne–Berestove area.
