Beverly Vergel (born April 11, 1964) ia Filipino-Canadian actress and film writer, director and producer, who now lives and works in Canada after many screen appearances in the Philippines during the 1980s and 1990s.[1][2][3][4]
In 1988, she starred opposite
Dolphy in Bakit kinagat ni Adan ang Mansanas ni Eba.[6] From 1993 to 1997, she played the role of Almira del Valle, the biological mother of the protagonist Mara, in the television series Mara Clara.[7] She later worked at TV channel
GMA-7 as a scriptwriter and director,[7] and at
ABS-CBN as an executive producer and managing director.[7] She directed her first film, Living Instead, in 2016, and won awards at independent film festivals in Canada, Spain and the US.[8][9][10][11]
