Ángela Melania Castro Chirivechz (born 21 February 1993) is a Bolivian race walker. [1] She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics finishing in 18th place. [2] [3] It was the best result ever for Bolivia in Olympic athletics. [4] She was the flag bearer for Bolivia during both the opening ceremony and closing ceremony. [5] [6]
She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Women's 20 km walk. [7] She won the 2021 Bolivian Race Walking Championship. [8] She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk at the 2022 World Athletics Championships held in Eugene, Oregon, United States. [9]
