The Albanian-Epirote War of 1385 was a short war waged between the Despotate of Arta, led by Gjin Bua Shpata and the Despotate of Epirus, led by Esau de' Buondelmonti.[ citation needed] Gjin Bua Shpata laid siege to the Epirote capital Ioannina, but failed to capture the city, despite multiple attempts. [1] Both sides negotiated Peace and Gjin Bua Shpata and his forces withdrew, thus ending the siege. [1]
