The 1815 Tennessee gubernatorial election was held between 3 and 4 August 1815 in order to elect the
Governor of Tennessee.

U.S. House of Representatives from
Tennessee's 2nd district

On election day, 3 August 1815,
Democratic-Republican candidate
Joseph McMinn won the election by a margin of 8,712 votes against his foremost opponent and fellow
Democratic-Republican candidate
Robert Weakley, thereby retaining Democratic-Republican control over the office of Governor. McMinn was sworn in as the 4th
Governor of Tennessee on 27 September 1815.
