I feel this template is extraneous and, since "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information", should be deleted. —

- Question for @
Eustress: Did you check to see if there are parallel navboxes for university presidents/chancellors of other college athletic conferences? If there are, they probably should all be discussed at the same time.

- @
Eustress: Well, here's another two you may want to consider adding to this discussion:
Template:Southeastern Conference transit system navbox and
Template:Southeastern Conference student newspaper navbox. Neither subject really has anything to do with college sports or the Southeastern Conference.

- And yet more:
- 1.
Template:Atlantic Coast Conference university executive navbox;
- 2.

Template:American Athletic Conference university president navbox.
- Did not find any navboxes for the university presidents/chancellors of the Pac-12 or Big 12. There may be others, however.

- Eustress, I will support deleting all of them as navbox cruft that tangentially relates two different things -- college sports conferences and university presidents -- if you want to pursue this TfD with multiple navboxes. Have you notified the creator of the SEC presidents navbox that this TfF discussion in pending? If not, you need to notify the creators of all of these.

- keep (that is the president/executive boxes). 1) university presidents/chancellors are very active in the administration of their respective athletic conferences, and 2) the conferences have a modern role beyond just athletics, and often cooperate in teaching and research. I feel it is useful to have a link between them so that people can see about the executives of the different schools within the same conference. --

- The
coach nav boxes and
AD nav boxes seem extraneous enough, especially the latter since many schools sponsor sports across multiple conferences, but the uni president relationship is too far up the line IMO. For instance, the
University of Florida announced a new president last week, and not once in his
announcement remarks did he mention the SEC, or even athletics for that matter. —

- Delete all - The guideline for navboxes,
WP:NAVBOX, suggests five criteria for evaluating whether a particular subject (and links) may be appropriate content for a navbox:
- "1. All articles within a template relate to a single, coherent subject.
- "2. The subject of the template should be mentioned in every article.
- "3. The articles should refer to each other, to a reasonable extent.
- "4. There should be a Wikipedia article on the subject of the template.
- "5. You would want to list many of these articles in the See also sections of the articles."
- In my estimation, these navboxes fail criteria nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 -- and these criteria, including the absence of stand-alone articles for these subjects, strongly suggest that these are weak candidates for navbox topics.

What's wrong with these? There's other honorary award templates in the same fashion (baseball, basketball and football hall of fames for example). They allow you to see other members of a specific class without needing to head to the hall of fame's main page.

charge2charge, "no transclusions" means none of these are used on any article. If you see a place to use them, it's usually fine to do so, and reply here with a wikilink, but templates that aren't being used are routinely deleted.

Keep per PC-XT. And I'm assuming the nominator simply overlooked {{
