Coral bleaching.

I was thinking about expanding on coral bleaching in Hawaii. There are numerous reasons why bleaching is occuring all over the world and this article doesn't go into too many specifics for the region. Florida is also experiencing this and it has recently been an increasingly alarming issue in the different ecosystems in the oceans. There are also alternatives to sunscreen that are becoming available to prevent the chemical that is causing it.

Otter Rock, Oregon

Expanding on the small town of Otter Rock and the marine reserve located on its beach. This has barely any information on the preserve and scientists have been studying the tide pools and sea life here. It is the smallest marine reserve in Oregon and have been monitoring it since 2010 and put restrictions on harvesting from it in 2012.

Bend Whitewater Park
There are 26 different pneumatic bladders that create the waves at the "Bend Whitewater Park" as well as 3 different channels. There is a different type of "River Surfboard" used and gear to use and not use as well that can be expanded on. There are river surfing organizations that are influencing the sport across the world in different places.

Near the north end of the reserve where the town Otter Rock is located are tide pools. You can access these on low tide by hiking down to Devils Punchbowl on the north side as well as the stairs that lead down to the beach on the south side.
