Possible obsolescence of "Chief Justices" box due to present box

This box's information now effectively supersedes that of Template:USChiefJustices This creates an issue on pages of individuals who have been Chief Justices of the United States, in that both boxes (with redundant information) can be applied to their pages. As Drdpw correctly observes, there is a redundancy between the two boxes (recent edits on Taft's page), and I feel that the more recently created box (this one) is the better of the two, because it encapsulates the whole history of the court's succession and seats at-a-glance, together with the row for Chief Justices.

I therefore suggest that the appropriate merge/deletion action (this is "above my pay grade" at the moment as I'm catching on) take place with regard to the present box and the other above. I've left a parallel comment at the other's talk. MinnesotanUser ( talk) 00:38, 13 October 2017 (UTC) reply

Consolidation of navboxes

I an effort to build a single more functional navbox for SCOTUS justices I have consolidated the contents of "Template:Chief Justices of the United States" with that of this template; both are now collapsible groups within the same navbox, with that template page redirecting to this page, as it has a more general/inclusive name.
