Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the " Did you know?" column on November 26, 2022.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that given a choice between Life and World, the answer was Yes?

English Rock Band

The article's first sentence says, "Yes are an English progressive rock band," present tense. Is this still true, as three of the five current members are Americans? Might it be more accurate to simplify it to "Yes is a progressive rock band"? Perhaps "Yes is a progressive rock band formed in England in 1968..."? Good point. I suggest making the edit and seeing if there is pushback from there. — Shada Ng ( talk | contribs) 21:02, 20 June 2023 (UTC) reply
No, "are" is British English and as long is Yes is listed as a English band, then.... On another note, I don't think it depends on the personnels background, I'm pretty sure it depends on "where" the band was formed. - FlightTime ( open channel) 21:14, 20 June 2023 (UTC) reply
All but one of the current members live in the UK. It's funny though when they were actually a British band most of the band lived in the US. Jskawaken ( talk) 18:52, 24 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Three of the current members live in the UK: Howe (in England), Downes (in Wales) and Davison (England???). Two (Sherwood, Schellen) live in the US. Three are US citizens (Sherwood, Schellen, Davison); two are British citizens (Howe, Downes). Bondegezou ( talk) 08:48, 25 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Should not the article be written in British English – for a British group? The punctuation is American English Billsmith60 ( talk) 21:43, 30 June 2023 (UTC) reply
